On 23 September, James SOH, Head of Data Centre at Freyr AI, represented the company at the 3rd Kuala Lumpur Engineering Forum (KLEF 2026), speaking on “APAC AI Data Centre Cooling and Power Technology Trend Insight.”
Evolving Power and Cooling Requirements Across APAC
The session focused on how rising AI compute density is reshaping data centre power and cooling requirements across APAC, including the shift toward liquid cooling, higher-density power architecture, and the different infrastructure considerations across markets such as Malaysia.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of aligning compute, power, cooling and facility planning as AI infrastructure continues to scale across the region.
Engaging with Industry Peers

Freyr AI was glad to take part in the exchange and thanks the KLEF 2026 organisers and Deep Knowledge Community for the opportunity to engage with industry peers.
